ადრიან ბრისკუ ინტელექტუალი და კომპარატივისტი ისტორიკოსია. დოქტორის ხარისხი ფლორენციის ევროპის უნივერსიტეტის ინსტიტუტში მოპოვა. ამჟამად, იგი ილიას სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტის შეპირისპირებითი ისტორიის მიმართულების ასოცირებული პროფესორი და პრაღაში კარლის უნივერსიტეტის ასისტენტ პროფესორია. სხვადასხვა იმპაქტ-ფაქტორიან და რეცენზირებულ ჟურნალში გამოქვეყნებული აქვს სტატიები, რომლებშიც კომპარატივისტული და კონცეპტუალური ისტორიის პერსპექტივებიდან განხილულია თანამედროვე ევროპული იდენტობის, პოლიტიკურ-ეკონომიკური აზროვნების, ბალკანეთის რეფორმებისა და იმპერიასთან მიმართების, სამხრეთ კავკასიისა და მეცხრამეტე საუკუნის ოსმალეთისა და რუსეთის პოლიტიკური ისტორიის საკითხები. იგი არის ორი მონოგრაფიის ავტორი: Bittersweet Europe: Albanian and Georgian Discourses on Europe, 1878-2008 (New York: London, Berghahn Books, 2013) და Political Reform in the Ottoman and Russian Empires: A Comparative Approach (London: Bloomsbury Academics, 2017).
