დავით დარჩიაშვილი პროფესორები

პოლიტიკური მეცნიერებების მიმართულებით

  • დაიბადა 1960 წელს. 1991 წელს, თსუ ისტორიის ფაკულტეტის ასპირანტურის დამთავრების შემდეგ, დაიცვა საკანდიდატო დისერტაცია და დაიწყო პედაგოგიური მოღვაწეობა. ასწავლიდა რუსეთის საგარეო პოლიტიკას XIX-XX საუკუნეებში. 1993-2004 წლებში პარალელურად მუშაობდა მშვიდობის, დემოკრატიისა და განვითარების კავკასიურ ინსტიტუტში მკვლევრად. ამავე დროს დაინტერესდა საერთაშორისო ურთიერთობების თეორიით, უსაფრთხოების კვლევებითა და სამხედრო-სამოქალაქო ურთიერთობების თეორიით. მონაწილებდა ამ საკითებისადმი მიძღვნილ არაერთ საერთაშორისო პროექტსა და კონფერენციაში. 2002 წელს დაიცვა სადოქტორო დისერტაცია პოლიტიკური მეცნიერებების მიმართულებით. 2002-2003 წლებში აშშ-ის ფულბრაიტის პროგრამის ფარგლებში სტუმრობდა კავკასია-ცენტრალური აზიის ინსტიტუტს ჯონს ჰოპკინსის უნივერსიტეტში, ვაშინგტონში. 2005 წლიდან ილიას სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტის სრული პროფესორია. პარალელურად 2004-2008 წლებში იყო ფონდი ღია საზოგადოება – საქართველოს აღმასრულებელი დირექტორი, ხოლო 2008-2016 წლებში იყო საქართველოს პარლამენტის წევრი.
