Mariam Tskhovrebashvili graduated from Ilia State University with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and at the same university studied media, communication and research. Master Thesis: Analysis of the Georgian-Abkhazian Armed Conflict in 1992-93 in the Georgian Press in 1993 (Assessments, Symbols, Opinions).
Has been actively involved in the Georgian-Abkhazian peace dialogue for the last 6 years. She is interested in the events of the 80s and 90s, the escalation of the Georgian-Abkhazian armed conflict, the directly armed phase and subsequent periods.
Works as one of the local coordinators on the Berghof Foundation project “Dialogue on History as a Basis for Normalization”. He is also a facilitator of both Georgian and Georgian-Abkhazian meetings.
She is currently studying for a master’s degree program in modern Georgian history at Ilia State University. She is also a free attendee at the University of Bern lecture course “War, History and Memory; Conflicts in the Post-Soviet Space. “
