SHOTA KINTSURASHVILI Invited lecturers

  • Shota Kintsurashvili is a PhD student at Ludwig-Maximilian University of Munich (LMU), Faculty of Theology. He is working on a dissertation in the field of Christian social ethics: “The task of Christian social ethics in the country’s transformation process (case study of Georgia), in the search for an orthodox social message.” In 2015-18 he studied at the Catholic University of Eichstadt-Ingolstadt (KU), where he defended his MA dissertation on the history of the Church of the Middle Ages and modern times “From the Ecumenical Openness to the Anti-Ecumenical Uprising / Georgian Orthodox Autocephalous Church and the Ecumenical Dialogue in the Twentieth Century”. 

    In 2017, he enrolled at the Summer Academy of the Dortmund Social Institute, majoring in Common Social Spirit of Europe and Social Teaching of the Christian Church; he actively participates in international theological conferences, as well as translates texts of theological content from German, Russian and English, especially in terms of the church history, Christian social ethics and social teaching. He has been granted scholarship of German educational and scientific foundations for many years: Johann Adam Möhler Institut, Renovabis, Collegium Orientale.
