The course aims to acquaint students with social, political, economic and cultural changes that occurred globally between the start of the French Revolution in 1789 and the outbreak of World War 1 in 1914. Students will acquire knowledge regarding the chief events, people and institutions of the global history of the time. The course will enhance students’ understanding of the logic of development of transnational history, which will enable them analyze the processes in Georgian history in light of global history.
