“Few things in life are more important than education. My parents always emphasized this so I thought it would be appropriate to honor them with a scholarship designed to support a new generation of students. I know firsthand how profoundly scholarships can change lives for the better. The cost of a college education is out of reach for many students and their families but with the necessary support, students will be able pursue their dreams. And I wanted to lead by example – the student who receives a scholarship today will hopefully return the favor down the road. As Rustaveli aptly put it, “what we bestow in gifts, remains with us / what we keep is utterly lost.”- Alexander Mikaberidze
