Stephen Jones Scholarship

The stipend established by Stephen Jones, Co-chair of Master’s Program in Modern History of Georgia at Ilia State University, School of Arts and Sciences, can be awarded to two Master’s students who will not be able to receive the scholarship from Konrad Adenauer Foundation.

The Stephen Jones Scholarship is awarded each semester and amounts to 200 Gel per month.

“My entire student life, I depended on scholarships.  The generosity of others and their investment in my education shaped me as a citizen and a scholar. Without such financial support, my world would have been narrower, and I would never have reached the shores of Georgia.  I believe everyone has the right to an education regardless of his or her social and economic status.  Education may not solve all of our problems, but without it, we cannot imagine or make a better place for ourselves, or for our fellow citizens.  I hope my small contribution will help Georgia’s students find their goals and then live them” – Stephen Jones
