Giorgi Chkadua and Publish House Artanuji

For two years, Giorgi Chkadua was among the leaders of the students’ ranking of the Master’s Program in Modern history of Georgia and he was a recipient of the Adenauer Foundation scholarship. His master’s thesis – “Mikhail Vorontsov and the Establishment of the Viceroy’s Institute in the Caucasus” received the highest grade. Giorgi will be awarded 2,500 GEL by the Artanuji Publish House.

Head of Artanuji Mr. Buba Kudava hosted the students of Modern History of Georgia. They discussed future cooperation plans. Artanuj will provide a unique opportunity for the students of our program at start of their scholarly careers: the students can come up with projects and initiatives in the popular and scholarly genres. Several concrete initiatives are already under consideration.

As a first step, Giorgi Chkadua’s master’s thesis will be published as a book.

Giorgi himself will continue his studies at the history doctoral program of the Ilia State University and will continue studying Caucasus Viceroyalty of the Vorontsov era. His supervisor will be Louisiana State University professor – Aleksandre Mikaberidze. Giorgi will continue receiving Adenauer Foundation scholarship during his doctoral studies.
