- Profound knowledge of the history of 19th and 20th century Georgia: its stages and political, cultural, social and economic aspects;
- Profound understanding of the global and regional context in the light of modern and contemporary history (the Caucasus, Russia and Eastern Europe);
- Profound and holistic knowledge of Western, Soviet and post-Soviet historiography;
- Archival research skills, the necessary competencies for working with primary sources and the ability to contribute to the generation of new knowledge/values based on research findings, by observing the principles of research ethics;
- Skills for conducting research independently by considering the transnational approach and the ability to present the findings publicly, in full compliance with modern academic standards.
- The ability to present one’s own grounded perspective, arguments and research findings to the academic as well as professional community in one’s own as well as English language, by applying modern technologies.
A Programme graduate will be able to:
