DIMITRI SILAKADZE Invited lecturers

Dimtri Silakadze is a PhD student of history at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and is completing his dissertation on Formation and Organization of the Armed Forces in the Democratic Republic of Georgia. He is a visiting lecturer at the Ilia State University and a member of the Research Department of the National Archives of Georgia.
Silakadze’s research interests include military history of the Democratic Republic of Georgia, as well as Georgia and Georgians in the military system of the Russian Empire and the USSR. In 2014, he was awarded a research grant by the Ministry of Defense of Georgia and the National Centre of Manuscripts.
