Ninutsa Zakalashvili holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from Free University of Tbilisi. Now, Ninutsa studies at MA Program in Modern History of Georgia of Ilia State University.
During her BA years she had a wide range of interests. In the third year of her bachelor’s degree she was interested in Georgian Mythology and wrote her Junior Project – Mythos in Vazha-Pshavela’s Literary Works. In 2019, during the last year of her bachelor studies, culture and politics of the Soviet Union sparked her interest. She successfully defended her Bachelors thesis – Marxist-Nationalist Narrative in the Literary Works of ‘the Great Patriotic War’ and Post-War Period. She was researching war literature published in the 1940’s serial publication Mnatobi. Over the course of her studies she was working for the Korneli Kekelidze Georgian National Centre of Manuscripts, where she developed skills of working in the archives.
Currently Ninutsa’s academic interests are following: soviet studies, literary studies, theories of power, history of the First Democratic Republic of Georgia.
