Georgian Society in Tsarist Russia (1801-1890)

The course aims to provide students with a comprehensive knowledge of 19th-century history studies (1801-1890), and teach them how to apply different sources and contemporary historiographical approaches according to the Georgian case (social, current political, cultural, global and micro-history). The course examines political and public development of 19th century Georgia in the world context.
