I am Gabriel Chubinidze, graduate of the Ilia State University ‘s Bachelor program of Sociology. My BA thesis was titled as Urban Transformation of Tskaltubo from the Resort Town to the Town of Refugees. Currently I am studying at Ilia State University’s master’s program of Modern History of Georgia. For my excelled academic records I was awarded a Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Scholarship during the autumn-winter semester of 2020-2021.
I am particularly interested in Georgian-Abkhazian conflict and transformation processes of the post-Soviet space. Therefore, my plan is to pursue my studies to that end. I have participated in different formal and informal projects, including the Ilia State University summer school projects like Regional Conflicts and the Peace Prospects, which was held in Ukraine. Likewise, I have taken part in different projects organized by the Heinrich Böll Stiftung South Caucasus, Soviet Past Research Laboratory, etc.
Currently I am working for Berghof Foundation as a facilitator and interviewer in the project called Historical Dialogue as Basis for Normalization.
